HE DOES NOT FORGET THE PRAYER OF THE HUMBLE

When tribulation comes thick and fast;

We gasp, we falter and we say, “Alas!”

We are in despair, at the brink of death;

Would we soon take our very last breath?

The Soul must pause and remember;

The LORD is our God and Redeemer.

He dwells among His people in Zion;

We are not headed for destruction.

He will not forget the prayer of the humble;

There is no need to moan and to grumble.

Let Faith be revived and new hope arise;

The Word of truth will grant good advice.

Let us choose to offer heartfelt praise;

Thank God for His mercy and grace.

Let us mount up on wings of prayer;

Let us be assured “God does care!”
