BUT THE LORD WAS MY SUPPORT
Many foes may surround us with much hate;
They may be filled with arrogance and rage.
They may make plans of great evil to destroy;
They will seek every means they can employ.
But they have not reckoned with the LORD;
He is bound to His people with strong accord.
He has given to them His special covenant;
To help them, He would never be hesitant!
He comes with anger to defeat His enemies;
He would destroy them, and ignore their pleas.
The Lord would be the Support of the faithful;
Trust in the Lord would never be unmeaningful.
The Lord would personally send deliverance;
This truth is of deep and personal significance.
The LORD would be our Support in adversity;
Let us never doubt His strength or integrity.
