BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL
The Call to bless the LORD’s name is correct;
But how we may do this properly, we must reflect.
The praise of God must never be verbal only;
We must learn to bless His name “Soulfully!”
One of the greatest gifts God has given is the “Soul;”
This is what separates us from animals, on the whole.
The Soul is made after the Divine image of God;
It is with the Soul that we must bless the LORD!
The Soul is difficult to fully comprehend;
It is the innermost part of Man!
The Soul is capable of deepest emotion;
The conscience and the Will are in motion.
The Soul reflects on all the benefits of God given;
These gifts are graciously bestowed from Heaven.
The Soul cannot but be deeply impacted mightily;
It is right that it blesses the Name of God “Soulfully!”
