A BANNER OF TRUTH
Banners were flags used by the military;
They were used to uplift all in the army.
Banners brought much encouragement;
Banished were fear and discouragement.
A Banner of truth was given by God;
It brought hope to all who feared the LORD.
A Banner signalled God’s Presence;
Courage amidst battle was important.
Banners rallied people to fight on bravely;
The LORD would save most wonderfully.
The challenge was to trust amidst danger;
To conflicts the LORD was no Stranger.
Fears may come but there must be trust;
There must be faith in God’s righteousness.
Let the Banner of truth rally all who fear God;
Let us exercise even greater trust in the LORD.
