I HAVE MANIFESTED YOUR NAME
The works of Jesus were gracious and good,
But how many had truly and fully understood?
Thousands saw the miracles that He performed,
But their lives remained totally unreformed.
The name of God was most precious and holy,
Yet many profaned that name through great folly.
Jesus knew the name of His Father as nobody else did,
He sought to manifest His name by more than a creed.
But to whom would He manifest God’s name?
Who would seek to bring Him glory and not shame?
As Jesus taught the word of God to those who followed Him,
These were the chosen ones who would not easily yield to sin.
The disciples were men that God Himself gave,
Upon their hearts, the word of God was engraved.
They now know the majesty of God’s name,
They must ever seek to spread His fame.
