#6 A GREAT LIGHT
Many people knew that they needed to find Light;
Some sought out mediums and wizards outright;
They thought that the dead could give them advice;
They should have sought the Law for needed insight!
Still others sought their rulers for they were hard-pressed;
Life was precarious and many were severely distressed!
But no answers were forthcoming and there was no Light;
Many turned to cursing the King and even God outright!
God’s Plan was not to have His people walk in darkness;
They had turned away from Him in utter foolishness!
A prophecy was given that God would give a Great Light;
The people dwelling in darkness would appreciate that sight!
The prophecy of the Great Light was fulfilled by Jesus the Lord;
He proclaimed its fulfilment as He mightily ministered for God.
Jesus offers Light to all who would turn to Him in faith and love;
Those who follow Him will testify that they have Light from above!
