#7: ASK FOR THE OLD PATHS
Many are caught up with the thrill of new ideas,
The old paths are discarded, they are not held dear.
New ways of thinking are embraced without thought,
The heart and mind are engaged, they are caught!
Are the old paths truly useless, to be thrown away?
Have we been deceived? We need to rethink- Today!
The old paths led to blessing from our faithful God,
Many found rest for their souls, as from the LORD!
The new paths lead us to forsake God in favour of wealth,
But many are the wounds to the soul and to good health.
Others look for fame and power and they cannot rest,
But the rewards of the world are temporary at best!
Let us ask for the old paths, where God may be found,
He promises to lead us as His People, a thought profound!
The path we walk on, there may not be a lot of people there;
But what does that matter? We have much joy to share!
