#13: IF YOU HAVE RUN WITH THE FOOTMEN
The ministry of the LORD would require great strength,
There are His promises, from which He would not relent.
God would make His servant as strong as a fortified city,
But there must be true diligence and clear consistency.
Youth is not an excuse that holds any weight with God,
His Strength is Perfect, for He is truly the great LORD!
Hard lessons may have to be learned along the way,
His grace will keep us so that we need not go astray.
Sometimes we imagine that we are good and strong,
But weariness seeps in and we are proven wrong.
We can run with footmen but even then, we are weak,
We have failed to seek the Lord and thus we are sick!
The challenge is to find strength to contend with the horse,
We will need to find great strength or the cause could be lost!
This strength may be found when we tap on our faith in God,
We must seek Him in prayer humbly and fully trust in the LORD!
