(I) SETTING OUR HEART OF LOVE ON THE LORD

1. Love expresses itself in public declaration of our faith in the Lord

“He is my refuge and my fortress.” Psalm 91:2a

2. Love further expresses itself in making the Lord our trust

“My God, in Him I will trust” Psalm 91:2b

3. Love expresses itself in dwelling with delight in the Lord’s Presence

“Made… the Most High your dwelling place…” Psalm 91:9

(II) ASTUTE PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS

1. These observations are made from carefully observing God’s hand of blessing on individuals who love the Lord

2. Three observations may be highlighted:-

a) God will deliver from danger those who love Him ( Psalm 91:3 )

b) He will especially preserve them ( Psalm 91:4-10 )

c) He will command His angels to look after them ( Psalm 91:11-12 )

(III) GOD’S SPECIAL SEVEN-FOLD BLESSING TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM

1. God’s Revealed Response

“Because he has set his love upon Me…” Psalm 91:14a

a) To those who sincerely love Him

b) He reciprocates His children’s love for Him

2. God’s Seven-fold blessing

a) “I will deliver him…” ( Psalm 91:14b )

b). “I will set him on high…” ( Psalm 91:14c )

c) “I will answer him… ” ( Psalm 91:15a )

d) “I will be with him in trouble…” ( Psalm 91:15b )

e) “I will honour him…” ( Psalm 91:15c )

f) “With long life I will satisfy him…” ( Psalm 91:16a )

g) “I will show him my salvation” ( Psalm 91:16b )
