ALL THESE BLESSINGS SHALL COME UPON YOU
Israel was poised to enter the Promised Land;
Glorious was the LORD’s Almighty hand.
God had delivered them from a powerful nation;
The mighty Egyptian was out of commission.
The promise of the LORD was formally declared;
Every word should have made the heart glad.
The blessings God promised were astonishing;
The nation could look forward to great things.
The blessings were given on condition of obedience;
Israel must choose the path of wise compliance.
The promise of blessing must be understood carefully;
Great effort must be made to walk with God faithfully.
Let us be challenged to see God’s blessings;
May we deepen our spiritual understanding!
May the New Year be full of hope and cheer!
To the LORD our God, let us draw near!
