A VINE FROM EGYPT
The Psalms were written cleverly;
Hidden within was vital history.
Israel was likened to a humble Vine;
The blessings given were surely Divine!
Out of Egypt God chose an unlikely Vine;
He personally planted it with Plans Divine.
He made it take deep root in the ground;
The power and might of God surround.
God made provision for the nation to grow;
The blessings of the Lord would overflow.
The nation would reach beyond its boundaries;
It would impact and reach many other countries!
The shadow of the Vine would cover the hills;
The hand of God upon His people truly thrills.
The challenge is surely to walk worthy of God;
There is truly no one quite like the LORD!
