TAKE HEED THAT NO ONE DECEIVES YOU
The Disciples sought to be instructed by the Lord;
They desired to know more deeply, the word of God.
The Scriptures, they knew, contained vital teachings;
Great Knowledge would lead to wonderful blessings!
The subject of the Return of the Lord Jesus was profound;
They knew that their knowledge was limited, it did not abound.
There were many questions that they raised to their Teacher;
They hoped that He would further expound the Scripture.
The Lord Jesus first sought to warn them of deception;
Knowledge of the future is not easy for comprehension.
There would also arise many false teachers and prophets;
They would proclaim false predictions for personal profit!
The Disciples must always be watchful and prayerful;
The Enemy of our Souls is wicked and also powerful.
He knows just how to deceive and confuse the believer.
The challenge is therefore to become ever wiser!
