THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD
When Jesus walked on this earth, few knew His true identity,
He was born in a humble family, and grew up in obscurity.
He did not have much formal education, but displayed knowledge,
The privileged few who followed Him, saw in Him the Divine Image.
The Disciples of Jesus found different expressions to share with one accord,
Some spoke, others taught, and a few wrote books extolling the Son of God.
Some were famous apostles, whose names were well known to one and all,
Some others chose not to disclose their names, but they too obeyed their Call.
They portrayed Jesus as the Divine Heir of all that God possessed,
He was the Express Image, whose glorious Name they confessed.
He was the Co-Creator of the world from the beginning of time,
Jesus was truly the Saviour, the Son of God, the Messiah sublime.
He had come to earth to purge out Man’s sins once and for all,
He had given a Divine Mission, and He was faithful to that Call.
He was greater than all the angels that heaven could boast,
But He walked on earth as the Son of Man, from coast to coast.
