YOU WHO FEAR THE LORD
The Messiah would endure suffering;
This was what the Psalmist was saying.
The Messiah practised the fear of God;
He faithfully obeyed the word of the Lord.
The godly must also expect suffering;
The world is wicked and conniving.
The godly must learn how to offer praise,
Amidst life’s hard and relentless pace.
The Lord is not blind nor deaf to prayers;
He will hear for He sincerely cares.
He will answer in His own time;
To all our suffering He is not blind.
The poor need not feel ashamed;
His trust in the Lord will not be in vain.
The Lord will be there for the godly;
He will stand with them faithfully.
