IN FEAR OF YOU
King David was the second king of Israel;
He had seen how King Saul had become evil.
He had also come across bloodthirsty men;
They had thoroughly cruel and wicked plans.
David refused to fight evil with wickedness;
He chose the difficult path of righteousness.
He had to face many wicked foes in his life;
He turned to God amidst terrible strife.
He grew in his knowledge of the LORD;
He determined to fully trust his God.
He sought the Lord in prayer urgently;
He believed that God would lead faithfully.
He had chosen to practise the fear of God;
He would exercise his trust fully in the Lord.
He would not fail to worship God amidst danger;
His faith in God would enable him to be stronger.
