BUT I HAVE PRAYED FOR YOU
Satan desired to put Peter to the test;
He would put him under great duress.
Peter had said that he would not fail;
But would strength truly prevail?
Satan’s attacks are never easy to fathom;
He does not attack at random.
He had studied the weaknesses of Peter;
He could cause this disciple to falter!
But the Lord Jesus was there to protect;
All the Disciples were among the elect.
The Lord Jesus assured Peter of prayer;
His Presence would always be there.
Satan may cause someone to stumble;
The need is to remain truly humble.
Suffering defeat brings a sense of shame;
But faith in the Lord would not be in vain!
