A GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES

When we feel discouraged in life;

And there is way too much strife.

Remember the great cloud of witnesses,

And be encouraged by their faithfulness!

When we feel discontented in our heart;

And we do not feel like doing our part.

Remember the great cloud of witnesses,

And be challenged to put on cheerfulness.

When we feel weak and dispirited,

And we also become discontented.

Remember the great cloud of witnesses;

And be challenged to be courageous.

The great cloud of witnesses proved faithful,

Though life was sometimes grim and awful.

They looked up in faith to the LORD;

They found renewed strength in God!
