YOU HAVE ANSWERED ME
Doubts assail and trust in God is affected;
Feelings run wild and we may feel rejected.
Prayers ascend desperately but there is unbelief;
The outpouring of the soul does not bring relief!
Another way has to be found obviously;
The enemies must be faced courageously.
They may be dogs, or lions or wild oxen;
But what are these to the God of Heaven?
The Lord will give us the strength to cope;
There is no need to lament and to mope.
The Lord will bring about deliverance;
Our trust in God is of vital significance!
The LORD has indeed heard our prayers;
He bids us to “be still” and not be in despair.
We are indeed precious to the LORD;
He remains our great and faithful God!
