YOU CROWN THE YEAR WITH GOODNESS
Help us, Lord, to observe Your hand of blessing;
You are involved personally in every undertaking.
The preparation of the ground for sowing;
The provision of rain for important nurturing.
You watch over Your creation with greatest care;
Among the hills, the fields, the trees… You are there!
Everything abounds because of Your blessing;
It is right that we should be constantly rejoicing.
Each year is crowned with blessings from You;
How our eyes need to see that this is true!
But we are sometimes so very blind;
We fail to see that You have been kind.
Give us eyes to see Your mighty hand;
And help us appreciate Your divine plan.
Give us hearts that know how to appreciate;
To sing praise to You, may we never hesitate!
