O LORD, MY SALVATION

There is no human solution to the problem of sin;

Sin affects deeply and the soul can become dim.

There is deep anguish and continual sorrow;

There is worry that there will be no tomorrow!

The problem of evil adversaries continues;

The wicked seem to have a huge retinue.

They plot and plan the downfall of people;

Sin makes us weak, helpless and vulnerable.

There is only one way to be strong again;

Only the LORD can bring back a sweet refrain.

The way of the Lord is to repent from sin;

He will wash and cleanse from deep within.

The LORD will take away our anguish;

Sin and enemies, He will vanquish.

He willingly grants us needed salvation;

This is His promise to every generation.
