I WILL DECLARE WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR MY SOUL

My soul was terrified of my fierce enemies:

They were known to be people of no mercies.

They would ride their horses over people;

They ranted at the weak and troubled.

My soul cried out to God for deliverance;

Fear fed on fear, my soul was in despondence.

Hope was almost gone but my soul held out;

I must resist my unbelief and all my doubts.

God in His mercy heard my cries of sorrow;

He drew near and spoke of hope for tomorrow.

My soul revived and I found strength again;

I will call upon the Lord’s almighty name.

God has cleansed my soul from unbelief;

He has brought to my heart needed relief.

He has touched my soul and thus I must declare;

That we must believe that the Lord truly cares!
