GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST

The Glory of God used to be made fully manifest;

It represented the Lord’s presence in righteousness.

It was with the children of Israel in their journeys;

It was to teach them that God was there always.

But Israel did not appreciate God’s glory;

It was slowly withdrawn from the nation, sadly.

For many years, the Glory of God was hidden;

But that Glory was once again revealed from Heaven.

Angels were sent to announce the birth of the Saviour;

Mankind would be given God’s unmerited favour.

The Glory of God was wonderfully manifested one Night;

This brought great encouragement and great delight.

The shepherds went to Bethlehem to see the King;

They saw the Saviour and their hearts did sing;

They could not help but speak of God’s Glory;

The Lord was with them and with Him is mercy!
