SHOW ME YOUR WAYS
David has proven himself as a ruler;
He was truly a courageous leader.
He went into battles with his men;
His presence brought encouragement.
David knew the challenges of being a king;
There were many problems that required solving.
Human limitations could not be ignored;
Thus, of the Lord, David prayed and implored.
He asked the Lord to show His ways;
He would wait on the Lord every day.
He pleaded for God’s paths to be revealed;
He asked that His truths be not concealed.
The Lord was the God of his salvation;
Without His mercy there would be confusion.
David learned to seek the Lord in earnestness;
He sought to cultivate a life of righteousness.
