YOU ARE THE PORTION OF MY INHERITANCE
It is natural to feel grateful for an inheritance;
That we should be thankful is of importance!
Not everyone would become rich heirs;
But we need not be in great despair!
Every child of God has a spiritual inheritance;
God has not left out anything of relevance.
It is up to us to appreciate our being spiritual heirs;
How blessed we are that God has shown such care!
The LORD Himself ought to be our chosen Portion;
Let the heart and mind be filled with deep wisdom.
An earthly inheritance would fade away in time;
But a spiritual one grows more and more sublime!
The LORD will draw close if this is our true desire;
To grow in knowledge and faith is what we must aspire.
God will maintain the inheritance He has given to us;
Our Soul would then understand “deep blessedness!”
