I AM AFFLICTED VERY MUCH
Afflictions can weary a soul;
The need is to remain whole.
The Word of God provides Light;
Faith provides spiritual sight.
The Word of God is like a Lamp;
It provides light when we are in a jam.
The light the Scriptures give is spectacular;
The Word gives wisdom that is not secular.
The heart and soul need spiritual revival;
Only God can do this work, for it is spiritual.
God can bring fresh strength and hope;
With a revived soul, we will be able to cope.
The heart of the revived believer is strong again;
He will be able to sing to God, despite the strain.
He remains deeply committed to be faithful to the Lord;
Afflictions need not be feared if we know the Word of God!
