DO NOT TOUCH MY ANOINTED ONES
God’s protection of Israel was obvious;
Israel was His covenant people and precious.
There were many enemies that Israel faced;
The Lord’s commitment was given out of grace.
Israel travelled through many nations;
There were many dangerous situations.
God protected His people from great harm;
Israel need not be fearful nor alarmed.
God’s protection was on His anointed ones;
The patriarchs were kept safe from physical harm.
Abraham was with Sarah when they were in Egypt;
Sarah was protected from wickedness and deceit.
God knows those who are truly His own;
He watches over them from His throne.
He is deeply committed to His people;
He will keep them from that which is evil.
