WHERE IS YOUR GOD?
The children of Israel had many enemies;
They had to face many taunting inquiries.
There were people who asked to see their God;
Why did they hold fast to an invisible Lord?
The Gentile nations worshipped many deities;
These were in the form of metal or wooden entities.
Idol worship was widespread in ancient days;
But the truly pious chose to walk in God’s ways.
The children of Israel had a hard time in life;
They had to face many struggles and strife.
The faithful chose to remain steadfast and true;
They refused to budge from what they chose to do.
Their faith was that their God was in heaven;
He was the Lord and He was absolutely sovereign.
The children of Israel held fast to their faith in God;
They had to find strength to remain true to the Lord!
