THE REVELATION OF THE ANTICHRIST

1. The falling away must first come          (2 Thes. 2:3)

2. He will come when God stops restraining him          (2 Thes. 2:6,7)

a. At a time when he is ready

b. At God’s appointed time

THE REBELLION OF THE ANTICHRIST

1. He will seek to be like God          (2 Thes. 2:4)

a. He will oppose God – Anti-God

b. He will exalt himself above God and all things that are worshipped

c. He wants people to worship him as god

2. He will be judged by God          (2 Thes. 2:8)

DISCERNING AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF THE ANTICHRIST

1. Knowing it is the last hour          (1 John 2:18-19)

a. The Antichrist is coming

b. Many antichrists have come

c. They were never part of the people of God

2. Having the anointing from the Holy One / Holy Spirit          (1 John 2:20-23)

a. Knowing all things          cf. John 14:26, 16:13

b. Knowing the truth

c. Knowing how to discern

i. Knowing those who truly believe in the Lord

ii. They would always acknowledge the Son

iii. The false teachers would deny the Father and the Son.

QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION

1. Do you have this anointing from the Holy One?

2. Are you learning to yield yourself to the Spirit’s leading?

3. Can you discern between truth and falsehood, right and wrong, Christ’s and Antichrist’s?
