TUESDAY 19 MARCH 2019 Text: Ephesians Topic: GOD’S PLAN OF SALVATION IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM (PAUL’S EPISTLES)

PRE-SALVATION- THE NATURAL MAN

1. Dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1)

2. You once walked according to the course of this world (Ephesians 2:2a)

3. According to the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2b)

4. The spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2c)

5. Also we all once conducted ourselves (Ephesians 2:3a)

a) In the lusts of our flesh (Ephesians 2:3b)
b) Fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind (Ephesians 2:3c)

6. By nature the children of wrath (Ephesians 2:3d)

a) The wrath of God is revealed from heaven (Romans 1:18)
b) Without excuse (Romans 1:20)

PRE-SALVATION AS GENTILES

1. Gentiles in the flesh (Ephesians 2:11a)

2. Called Uncircumcision (Ephesians 2:11b)

3. Without Christ (Ephesians 2:12a)

4. Aliens from the commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:12b)

5. Strangers from the covenant of promise (Ephesians 2:12c)

6. Having no hope (Ephesians 2:12d)

7. Without God in the world (Ephesians 2:12e)

SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST

1. God’s richness in mercy (Ephesians 2:4a)

2. God’s great love (Ephesians 2:4b)

3. Made us alive together with Christ (Ephesians 2:5a)

4. By grace you have been saved (Ephesians 2:5b, 8)

5. Raised us up together (Ephesians 2:6a)

6. Made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6b)

7. In the ages to come He might show exceeding riches of His grace (Ephesians 2:7a)

8. In His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:7b)

9. By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves (Ephesians 2:8)

10.It is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:9)

11. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10)

THE BLESSINGS OF SALVATION

1. Christ is our peace (Ephesians 2:14a)

2. He has made both one (Jews and Gentiles) (Ephesians 2:14b)

3. He has broken down the middle wall of separation (Ephesians 2:14c)

4. He has abolished the enmity, that is the law of commandments (Ephesians 2:15)

5. He has reconciled us to God (both Jews and Gentiles) (Ephesians 2:16)

6. We have access by One Spirit to the Father (Ephesians 2:18)

NEW COVENANT RELATIONSHIP

1. No longer strangers and foreigners (Ephesians 2:19a)

2. But fellow-citizens with the saints (Ephesians 2:19b)

3. Members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19c)

4. Built on the foundations of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20)

5. Christ the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20)

6. A holy temple of God (Ephesians 2:21)

7. A dwelling place of God in the Spirit (Ephesians 2:22)

APPRECIATION OF OUR SALVATION

1. Blessed with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3)

2. Chosen before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4)

3. Predestined to adoption as sons by Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:5)

4. Redemption through His blood (Ephesians 1:7a)

5. The forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (Ephesians 1:7b)

6. Made known the mystery (revelation) of His will (Ephesians 1:9)

7. We have obtained an inheritance (Ephesians 1:11)

8. We should be to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:12)

9. Sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise (Ephesians 1:13)

10. The guarantee of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14)

APPROPRIATE RESPONSE TO GOD FOR HIS SALVATION

1. Declaration of faith in God Behold, God is my salvation (Isaiah 12:2a)

2. Application of faith in God

a) I will trust
b) And not be afraid (Isaiah 12:2b)

3. Appreciation of faith in God

a) For YAH, the LORD is my strength
b) And song (Isaiah 12:2c)

4. Affirmation He also has become my salvation. (Isaiah 12:2)
