1. The light of the Lord’s Word 

“The entrance of Your words gives light” Psalm 119:130

2. Spiritual illumination to know things

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1:17,18

3. There will come understanding

1. Personal experience of the Lord’s Word…that they are wonderful

“Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them.” Psalm 119:129

“Rivers of water run down from my eyes, Because men do not keep Your law.” Psalm 119:136

1. In relation to our knowledge…like the mercies of God

“Look upon me and be merciful to me, As Your custom is toward those who love Your name.” Psalm 119:132

2. In relation to our state of being

“Redeem me from the oppression of man, That I may keep Your precepts.” Psalm 119:134

3. In relation to our standing before God…the Lord’s favour

“Make Your face shine upon Your servant, And teach me Your statutes.” Psalm 119:135

4. In relation to the dominance of sin in our lives

“Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.” Psalm 119:133
