“THAT THE LIFE OF JESUS ALSO MAY BE MANIFESTED IN OUR MORTAL FLESH”

 

(I) THE LIFE OF JESUS

1. Filled with the Spirit of God (Mark 1:10)

2. Beloved Son of God (Mark 1:11)

3. Empowered (Luke 4:14)

4. Conscious of fulfilling the works of God (John 4:34; 9:4)

 

(II) THE LIFE OF JESUS MANIFESTED IN OUR MORTAL FLESH

1. The Meaning of “Manifested“

a) Made clear

b) Made visible

c) Beginning- Being Born Again (John 3:3)


2. Manifested in the following ways:-

a) Personal life (John 15)

i) Abiding in Christ

ii) Abiding in His love

iii) Abiding in His word

b) Ministry

i) Following Jesus

ii) Becoming fishers of men

iii) Being taught and groomed for ministry

iv) Commencement of a fruitful ministry

v) Continuing development of a fruitful ministry


(III) PROBLEMS ANTICIPATED AND OVERCOME

1. In our mortal flesh

a) Struggles with sin

b) Struggles with problems in ministry

c) Successful struggle against all odds


2. The weakness of the flesh

a) God’s strength is seen

b) His strength is made perfect in our mortal weaknesses
