THE MEANING OF THE WORD “RAMIFICATION”

RAMIFICATIONS OF OUR FAITH

1Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 

through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 

Romans 5:1-2

1. Justification

a) Declared Righteous by God
b) We have “Imputed righteousness” from God
c) Faith in the Lord Jesus is of vital importance

2. Peace with God

a) Our status before Justification
1And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 
in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 
among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.    Ephesians 2:1-3
i) Dead in trespasses and sins
ii) Walked according to the course of this world
iii) According to the prince of the power of the air
iv) Lusts of the flesh and of the mind
v) Children of wrath
b) Results of Justification
i) We have peace with God
ii) The hostile relationship is no more
iii) There is Peace from God given

a) By faith
b) Access to God’s presence
c) Access to prayer
d) Access to Grace
e) Access to God as His children

4. We have Hope

a) Hope that causes rejoicing
b) Hope for all eternity
c) Hope of everlasting life
d) Hope that brings about great rejoicing

WHAT IS OUR CHALLENGE?

1. To appreciate Justification by Faith

a) Salvation given to us
b) A glorious Saviour
c) A most faithful Shepherd

2. To appropriate the privilege of access to God and His grace

a) Cultivation of faith
b) Cultivation of our prayer life
c) Cultivation of our knowledge of God
