 Example 1

Jairus

  1. Daughter of Jairus seriously ill

  1. Faith of Jairus

a) Ruler of a synagogue
b) He worshipped the Lord Jesus                                                          Matthew 9:18
c) Begged Jesus to come to his house to heal his daughter         Matthew 9:18
d) The Lord Jesus complied and followed Jairus to his home   Matthew 9:19
  1. Testing of faith

a) Jesus stopped to attend to a woman with a chronic disease
b) This delay could have cost the life of Jairus’ daughter
  1. Encouragement to Jairus

a)  News of the death of his daughter reached him Luke 8:49
b) The word of the Lord Jesus
i)   Do not be afraid                                     Luke 8:50
ii)  Only believe                                            Luke 8:50
iii) And she will be made well                Luke 8:50

Example 2

The woman with a chronic issue of blood

  1. Woman with a flow of blood for 12 years       Luke 8:43

  1. Spent all her livelihood on physicians            Luke 8:43

  1. Was not healed by any physician                      Luke 8:43

  1. Faith exhibited

a) If only I may touch His garment
b) I shall be made well                                                  Matthew 9:21
  1. Word of the Lord Jesus to the woman

a) Be of good cheer                                                         Matthew 9:22
b) Your faith has made you well                               Matthew 9:22
c) The woman was made well from that hour     Matthew 9:22
