LAW CONCERNING WITNESSES

1. Two important texts:

a) Deuteronomy 17:6-7
b) Deuteronomy 19:15

2. Concerning sin or iniquity

a) One witness rises up against another   (Deuteronomy 19:15)
b) A single witness cannot cause conviction
c) Two or three witnesses must be found   (Deuteronomy 19:15)

3. In a difficult controversy

a) Two men, each accusing the other   (Deuteronomy 19:16)
b) Both to stand before the Lord   (Deuteronomy 19:17)
c) Before the priests   (Deuteronomy 19:17)
d) Before the judges   (Deuteronomy 19:17)

4. Making inquiry
