PLEADING THE GRACE OF GOD

If I Have Found Grace In Your Sight

Even as Church Family camp begins soon, it is wise that we do not take anything concerning this camp for granted. While not everybody would have the privilege to go and feed on God’s word during this week, all of us can still pray for the Lord’s mercy and grace to be upon all who are going. Let’s not assume that grace is automatically given and that our heavenly Father would richly bless this camp. From the example of Moses, we can see that even though he was so close to God, (he prayed to God face to face), yet he still pleaded His grace each time he prayed and interceded for the people.

1. In Praying For God To Show His Way

“Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way … that I may find grace in Your sight.”
Exodus 33:13

2. In Praying For The Lord’s Presence To Be With His People

“For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us?”
Exodus 33:16

3. In Praying For God To Pardon Their Iniquities

“Then he said, ‘If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin'”
Exodus 34:9

Moses did not take it for granted that God was going to just answer his prayers. He consistently and humbly pleaded with God to grant grace to Him. Grace is something that we must learn to obtain from God again and again. As we go for the Church family camp and learn about grace, let’s seek God fervently in prayer for His grace to be given to us. Let’s pray that the Lord would show us His ways. May we pray that God’s presence would go with us and protect all of us. Let’s pray for people to get right with God at the family camp as we plead His grace.

Coming Boldly Before His Throne Of Grace

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need.”
Hebrews 4:16

This text in Hebrews 4:16 challenges us further to come boldly before His throne of grace. The Lord Jesus being our great High Priest who has passed through the heavens is seated now at the right hand of the throne of God. He is our great intercessor. He knows how best to intercede for us because He can sympathize with all our weaknesses. Young people, let’s be challenged to come before the Lord’s throne of grace with great confidence. The Lord God is most merciful and gracious. Let’s seek to intercede for the campers that His grace will be upon each one and that He would bless this Family Camp. Let’s not take anything for granted. Let’s all pray with faith that we might find grace in His sight.
