Text: Daniel 7:15-28

Dear Young People,

THE KINGDOM OF THE ANTICHRIST

Are you alarmed about the prophecy concerning the future kingdom? This kingdom would be the most powerful one yet. In fact this kingdom may be said to be the Kingdom of the Antichrist!

Obviously, it would be particularly filled with hatred for the Lord and His saints! Are you afraid of the persecution that would arise from the establishment of this kingdom?

IT WILL BE A SHORT-LIVED KINGDOM

Mercifully the kingdom of the Antichrist would only be a very short-lived one. This is intimated in the words,

“Then the saints shall be given to his hand
for a time and times and half a time.”
Daniel 7:25

Let us be thankful that the kingdom of the Antichrist would not be as long as the ancient empires. However, we must be prepared for a particularly wicked and cruel reign.

VICTORY OVER THE POWERS OF THE ANTICHRIST

Let us turn to the Book of Revelation and there draw comfort from the fact that we can be victorious, even under persecution.

What a glorious word of comfort and assurance we have in this passage.

“And they overcame him (Satan)
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony,
and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Revelations 12:11

We will not be able to overcome Satan in our own strength. However, when we have the Lord Jesus Christ on our side, we shall be able to overcome him indeed. Let us cultivate three areas of consciousness.

1. There is power in the blood of the Lamb (Jesus).

2. We can and must cultivate a powerful life (testimony).

3. We must not be afraid of persecution or even death (Cf. John 12:24,25).

Let us be deeply challenged to cultivate a truly powerful Christian life and testimony. It is only when we have such a powerful life that we would be able to overcome Satan and his servant, The Antichrist.

Let us NEVER allow fear to dominate our lives! Let us instead seek to cultivate a deep and strong faith in the Lord that would enable us to triumph over the enemy.
