"Let us walk properly, as in the day..."
Text: Romans 13:13
TWO DISTINCT LIFESTYLES DESCRIBED
How should the believer live his short life on earth? Paul offered two contrasting lifestyles in the following text.
“Let us walk properly, as in the day, not
in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness
and lust, not in strife or envy.”

1.” Let us walk properly, as in the day”
a) The key words are
i) Properly
ii) Day
b) The believer is encouraged to live distinctively for the Lord, and that must include the word “properly”.
c) The word “day” is used in contrast to the word “night”.
d) This is a brief description of a lifestyle that Paul himself symbolized.
2. The contrasting Lifestyle
a) Revelry
b) Drunkenness
c) Lewdness
d) Lust
e) Strife
f) Envy
These six features describe a lifestyle that no believer ought to possess!
LET US WALK
The word “walk” may be interpreted as “lifestyle”. Ultimately, we will all display a particular lifestyle! Let us be challenged to “walk properly, as in the day”.
