RECEIVING THE WORD OF GOD
The Word of God was faithfully preached in Thessalonica;
He was fully convicted to preach God’s word with power.
He had seen how the Word of God had great authority;
He faithfully preached the Word most faithfully!
The Thessalonians worshipped idols in the past;
They turned from idolatry to a faith that was steadfast.
The messages were believed to be the Word of God;
Their hearts were responding to the Spirit of the Lord!
The young church began to imitate the churches of Judea;
The brethren noted how the Judean believers held their faith dear.
They learned how to suffer affliction for the sake of the Lord;
The Thessalonian Church was deeply impacted by the Word of God.
How we receive the Word of God matters greatly;
If we do not regard it well, it will not work effectively.
But if we treasure Word of God as a gift divine;
We will see the impact it makes by God’s design!
