b. How may we also learn to fear God?

OUR STRUGGLES WITH HUMAN FEAR

1 O God, You have cast us off;
You have broken us down;
You have been displeased;
Oh, restore us again!

You have broken it;
Heal its breaches, for it is shaking.

You have made us drink the wine of confusion.   Psalm 60:1-3

LEARNING TO FEAR GOD IN THE MIDST OF HUMAN FEAR

Save with Your right hand, and hear me.   Psalm 60:4-5

MOVING FROM FEAR TO A FRESH FAITH IN THE LORD

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.   Psalm 103:11-14

1. From the fear of God, David found a fresh faith in God

ii. So the LORD pities those who fear Him

4. Whereas these things were once taken for granted

The fear of God now enables us to appreciate them with fresh faith

LOOKING FORWARD TO FULLNESS OF LIFE AND FAITH

1. The Apostle Paul prayed that we may be filled with all the fullness of God   (Ephesians 3:14-19)
