UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN
God saw the great darkness on earth;
Many were sad and few had any mirth.
The darkness must be fought and dispelled;
But who would be able, this darkness, to expel?
There was only One Person suited for this task;
Only One Person would do what He asks.
His only begotten Son must be sent;
He is the only One God can commend.
He would be given a glorious name;
Universal would be His glory and fame.
He would defeat the kingdom of darkness;
He would bring Light and Righteousness.
He would bring Light amidst great darkness;
He would defeat sin and great wickedness.
The glorious Kingdom of Heaven is near at Hand;
To all, His invitation into His kingdom, He extends.
