INTRODUCTION

1. What does “From glory to glory” mean?

2. In order to understand this, we need to see the flow of things.

A MORE COMPLETE PICTURE OF GLORY

1. The theme of glory

a) This is the overall picture
b) Seen throughout the Scriptures

2. Paul’s focus on glory

a) A more focused look at glory in 2 Cor 3
b) It very much has to do with the Spirit of God

FROM GLORY TO GLORY

1. There is a change…from glory to glory

2. The ministry of Moses 2 Cor 3:7-11

a) Was it glorious?
i) The answer is “Yes”
ii) The Lord established his ministry
b) Was the glory meant to be permanent?
i) The answer is “No”
ii) It was a ministry that had passed away

3. The ministry of the Spirit 2 Cor 3:7-11

a) It is greater
b) It is more glorious

COMPREHENDING THE GLORY IN OUR HOPE

“Therefore, since we have such hope,”   2 Cor 3:12

1. An invisible glory

2. But it is there inside us

3. We have a glorious hope

4. Hope does not disappoint Rom 5:5

THE PROBLEM OF SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS IN THE CORINTHIAN CHURCH

“But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.”   2 Cor 3:14-15

1. There will be problems to encounter…such as spiritual blindness

2. An invisible veil continued to exist

3. Spiritually blind to the Lord’s Word

4. Today, many continue to have the problem of spiritual blindness.

TRANSFORMED FROM GLORY TO GLORY

1. Lifting of the veil

“Because the veil is taken away in Christ.”   2 Cor 3:14
“Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.”   2 Cor 3:16
a) Turning to the Lord Jesus
b) The veil is taken away

2. Liberty

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”   2 Cor 3:17
a) The glorious power of the Holy Spirit at work
b) The Holy Spirit gives liberty

3. Life transformed

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”   2 Cor 3:18
a) Spiritual sight to see the glory of the Lord Jesus
b) The use of a mirror to reveal
c) The Spirit transforms us to the image of Christ
d) From glory to glory

Conclusion

1. Check ourselves

2. Compare ourselves to Christ

3. Seek change from glory to glory through the Spirit of God

4. Continue in hope
