THE WICKED PERISH AT THE PRESENCE OF GOD

The heart is frightened at the presence of the wicked;

Fear fills the heart because of evil deeds perpetrated.

Crying out to the Lord to arise against the wicked is natural;

There is dread and whatever comfort felt is only superficial.

The power of God is felt when His Presence is made known;

The wicked must know that the Lord is still on His throne.

He will arise one day in His own time and according to His will;

The fearful heart must learn to exercise faith and learn to be still.

As smoke is driven away by the mighty breath of the Lord,

And as the wax melts in the fiery judgment of a holy God,

So, the wicked will perish at the Presence of God revealed;

The righteous need not fear when Power seems concealed.

The righteous may be glad and he may rejoice exceedingly;

The Lord has not forgotten the plight of the poor and needy.

He will arise and take up the defence of the poor who trust;

Mercy and relief will be given and God will show He is Just.
