BLESSED BE GOD
The blessing of the LORD our God is to be received with gratitude;
His grace and mercy were bestowed on His people in magnitude.
The mighty hand of the LORD is clearly seen in Israel’s history;
Not to acknowledge His power and might would be truly tragedy.
“Blessed be God!” That was a cry from a thankful heart;
From His beloved people, God has never been apart.
Sadly, the Lord’s mercy has not been fully appreciated;
The many blessings of God should be far more treasured!
It takes wisdom and maturity to see God’s hand in everything;
His presence is so obviously manifested in His great blessings.
Our challenge must be to grow in greater spiritual maturity;
Let us make every effort to see the Lord’s hand in clarity.
Thank God for His patience when we fail to comprehend;
That His blessings reflect the fulfilment of His great plan.
Let us desire to learn how we may say, “Blessed be God!”
There is truly no one more precious than our great LORD!
