AND WE BEHELD HIS GLORY
(A Holy Communion Poem)
The glory of the Lord Jesus was reflected in His grace;
He showed tenderness to all who had fallen on their face.
There were many who felt neglected and rejected;
Through His grace they were genuinely accepted!
The glory of the Lord Jesus was also reflected in the truths He taught;
Many were freed, when once in man-made laws they were caught.
The laws of God were poorly understood and many were entrapped;
The glory of the truth that Jesus taught caused believers to be enrapt!
The Lord Jesus was the brightness of God’s great glory;
There was no one else who could express God fully.
Jesus was the express image of God’s awesome Being;
He fully reflected the LORD God in every single thing.
How wonderful to be able to behold the glory of God;
We need to focus on the Person of Jesus, our Lord.
His words are full of grace and truth that bring enlightenment;
Seeking to fathom the glory of God brings glorious enjoyment!
