THE EYE OF THE LORD IS ON THOSE WHO FEAR HIM
(A Holy Communion Poem)
How wonderful to be lovingly watched over by God;
This is a special word of great comfort from the LORD.
We need not dread the watchful eyes of our Saviour;
His attentive watch over us will work in our favour.
The eyes of the Lord are sharp and discerning;
He knows the many dangers that are threatening.
He will watch over all who fear Him genuinely;
He will lead and guide them in life, unerringly.
The LORD desires to be involved in our activity;
To depend on human resources alone is truly folly.
Military strength and might will not guarantee success;
The challenge is to believe truly that the Lord would bless.
There is every reason to place our hope in God’s mercy;
The Lord would bless, those who fear Him, abundantly.
May our hearts desire to wait, in deeper trust, on the Lord!
Great blessings will abound to all who have great faith in God.
