WHITER THAN SNOW

The soul feels bereft and deeply forlorn;

The weight of sin continues to be borne.

The joy and gladness has all but disappeared;

The heart and the Soul cannot be easily cheered.

The heart and Soul must be purged thoroughly;

Dreaded Sin has taken root so very deeply.

A plea must come from our lips to the Lord;

We must plead for total cleansing by God!

There may be pain when the purging begins;

But pain is nothing if the Soul can be clean.

There is a sense of loss if God is not present;

Nothing is worse than feeling sad and vacant!

The Soul must long to be whiter than snow;

Only then can joy and gladness begin to glow.

How our heart must plead with God urgently;

May He cleanse us deeply and thoroughly!
