THE LORD IS MERCIFUL AND GRACIOUS
How wonderful it is to truly know the LORD;
Understanding His attributes teach us about God.
True knowledge of the LORD is very important;
Learning how to relate to Him is vital and relevant.
There must be great appreciation of God’s mercy;
His love is a reflection of grace shown gloriously.
He is righteous even in His great anger;
But in mercy, He will not remain angry forever.
Man strives with God because of his foolish pride;
He sins against the Lord and obviously, woe betides;
Mercifully, the LORD would not strive with Man;
Instead, out of grace, He offers Redemption’s plan.
God does not delight in meting out punishment;
He would rather have Man heed His commandments.
In His laws He reveals Himself and draws Man near;
How privileged we are that in God’s sight, we are dear!
