MY SOUL THIRSTS FOR GOD
Everyone experiences “Soul Thirst;”
We feel dry and we can’t focus.
Problems in life hurt and taunt;
The emptiness of Soul can haunt.
We learn from the Deer that are thirsty;
They search for water brooks determinedly.
They will run and search till they find water;
No matter how difficult the task they do not falter.
Soul-Thirst must see us seek the LORD;
He is the Source of Water, our living God!
He will give Water to refresh our Soul;
He will restore and make us truly whole.
Tears may come as we battle dark despair;
We must not lose heart; God does care!
He will give to us Life-Giving Water;
The LORD is our unfailing Shelter!
