MY SOUL SHALL REJOICE IN THE LORD
There is Joy when we help people in need;
Extending a hand to help should be our creed.
Genuine concern for those who are ill is expressed;
We pray and hope that the Lord would indeed bless.
That joy is threatened when people do not appreciate;
Instead of natural gratitude, they show much hate.
They turn against you and even speak nastily;
Our Joy is in danger of being lost completely.
The challenge is not to lose the Joy from the LORD;
Joy is a precious and wonderful gift from our God.
We need not lose our Joy when we think of God’s salvation;
We have reason to rejoice when we dwell on our redemption.
It is so good and wise to meditate on the LORD;
There is truly no one like our wonderful God!
Yes, man may be ungrateful and may hate even;
Our Joy can remain intact when we think of Heaven.
