MY DEFENSE IS OF GOD
The activities of the wicked do not seem to cease;
Evil in the world seems to constantly increase.
Justice seems to be weak and ineffective;
The heart is driven to be contemplative.
The normal desire is to wish that evil will end;
The heart is sick in hearing of wicked plans.
The mind can cope better if God’s help is sought;
To the very Presence of the Lord one must resort.
The Lord would deal with the wicked in His justice divine;
He observes, to see if they would truly repent in time.
But if the wicked would continue to resist;
Then they would have to face divine justice.
The righteous need not fear, for God is their Defence;
They would be protected by the Lord’s own hands.
The upright in heart will continue to look up to the Lord;
Their hearts are still, for they know their defence is of God.
